Sign language software
Signlabs brings video collaboration to the classroom. On workstations equipped with a camera and headset it allows students to watch video assignments and create their own recordings.
Teachers actively monitor their progress and can start a video chat to help individual students where necessary. To address all students at the same time the teacher can broadcast his own camerafeed with the push of a button.

Signlabs in your classroom
The user interface on the workstation of the teacher includes a real time overview of the camera feeds of all the active students. The teacher can monitor their progress, zoom in, listen to- and even interrupt individual students when desired by starting a video chat.Students can submit their recordings to the teacher for review. Exam Mode allows teachers to lock the workstations to a specific assignment for a limited amount of time while blocking features such as the student videochat.

Sign language at HU University
HU University of Applied Sciences is a state-funded University in the Netherlands that has over 36,000 students with over 100 different nationalities. Operating within the Faculty of Education is the Institute for Sign Language and Deaf Studies (IGT&D) where students can follow Bachelor and Master programmes to become a Teacher/Interpreter of Sign Language of the Netherlands.HU was among the first to bring video to the classroom by enabling students to watch video assignments and create their own recordings.
